Ministry of Economy of Ukraine issued forecast for construction in the first half of the year. I the first half of 2007 construction shall grow 7.5-8.5%. In the first quarter of 2007 construction shall grow at least 6%.

The growth is expected in the energy sector as a result of massive reconstruction of existing facilities. The Ukrainian Government received credits and assigned the budget for road building works. Commercial construction is on high demand in the capital and all major cities. Beside this the Ministry mentioned construction of local pipelines for villages’ natural gas supply and reconstruction of the local heating stations that are included in the local budgets.
