Kyiv has taken 28th place and Moscow has been taking the first place for two years in the rating of the most expensive cities in the world for foreigners.
Mercer HR, British consulting firm which estimates living standards for people who come to make money informs foreigners have begun to spend more money in Moscow this year than in comparison wil time of making previous rating.
As British experts consider, leadership of Russian capital is concerned with stabilization of Russian currency and raise of rent. Experts suppose Kyiv takes the 28th place. It means it is more expensive for foreigners to live here than in Barcelona (31st place), Frankfurt (40), Los-Angeles (42), Berlin (45) and Prague (49).
London has raised at 3 places in the rating of consulting firm – from the fifth to the second place. Mercer HR explains it by stabilization of British pound in comparison with the American dollar and rent rates which went up.
Seoul takes the third place in the rating this year (it took the second place according to the results of previous rating) and Tokyo takes the fourth place. Hon Kong takes the fifth place and Copenhagen takes the sixth place.
Asuncion has been recognized the cheapest city for foreigners already for five years. The capital of Paraguay remains behind a little from Karachi, Pakistan and Quito, Ecuador. At all 147 cities had been estimated in the rating.
Experts remind there is need to take into account local factors while estimating living standards like trips by usual city taxies but not by that ones which are being ordered by guests in the hotel.
