Consulting Company SV Development (Kyiv) marks the cottage building land cost increase in Kyiv oblast by 27 pct on average since the beginning of 2007. The most probable reason for that is the extension of moratorium on agricultural land plots sales until 2008.

According to the company, the maximum land cost raise of 55 and 34 pct took place in Obukhov and Vyshgorod districts, where prices lifted up to USD 7.191 and 3.843 per acre correspondingly.

As to State Land Resources Committee, the moratorium extension is able to result in an appearance of shadow schemes on the land market.
