Raise of rates shocked not only native Kyivers. Visitants from the regions and young families who rent dwelling have to pay several hundreds of hryvnias more for the expensive apartment. Flat owners raised price on rent by US $100 although payment for 1-room flat per month increased by UAH 100.

Vice-president of Kyiv department on real estate association Viktor Nesin forecasts raise of rates on dwelling rent at the level of 10-15 percents.

“Prices are rising in the real estate rent market. If price on average rent of 1-room-flat came to US $270 at the beginning of previous year, it raised up to US 300 at the end of the year. Apartments rent come to US 350 in 2007. It means we can forecast raise of rates by 10-15 percents. As for real-estate purchase and sale market, it will hardly influence on it”, said expert.
